The Story of Theodore Scene 3

He had never been in trouble before.

What had he done?

He had never even been in a Principal’s office.

The aide had ushered him into the waiting area of the office and told him to take a seat.

The secretary asked his name and had frowned hesitantly when he told her who he was.

What was going on here?

She told him that the Principal was on the phone and would be with him in a few minutes.

He sat quietly on the hard, institutional chair as he considered the possible reasons for the secretary’s expression.

Something was wrong, he was sure of that.
